Indexation of the website

Search engines should be capable of accessing, crawling and indexing our website web pages easily. To check on this, install the following Firefox plugins.

User Agent Switcher

Web Developer
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/web-developer/

Now, Disable JavaScript by going to "preferences" and "content" and uncheck "Enable JavaScript".

Menus, links and dropdowns should be available to GoogleBot without JavaScript. If they are buried within JavaScript, Then, Googlebot can not crawl them.

As the next step, disable CSS with the Web Developer Plugin. We disable CSS because Googlebot crawls the website in the order of HTML. CSS can obscure this order of the content.

Go to, Firefox Tools -> Default User Agent -> Search Robots -> Googlebot 2.1.

You can open your site in the browser and check now. Menu should appear as clickable links and none of the other text and links are hidden from Googlebot. Make sure any hidden text is not appearing after following these steps. Hidden text should not be there as Googlebot may take it negatively. Make sure, The menu links are not images. Anchor texts will help for backlinks.

Also, you might want to check the website crawl errors using http://www.screamingfrog.co.uk.

Speed

The site's speed is very important to have returning users. You can measure the site speed using https://developers.google.com/pagespeed/.

Go to, http://yslow.org and Fix the suggestions made by this browser plugin. Optimize your CSS and JavaScript files. Reduce the image sizes in the website.

Websites to regularly follow to earn money online

I just want to share websites I regularly follow to make money online.

1. ShoutMeLoud.com

ShoutMeLoud provides WordPress guide to start from scratch. It has an Alexa rank of 2668 which makes it top technology blog in India. It provides services like migration from Blogger to WordPress. The main revenue for this site seems to be from Affliate Marketing. The site promotes the users to go for Bluehost, SemRush etc. It has an exclusive Adsense guide to increase the revenue through it. You can also contribute to the site by writing blogs.

2. AllTechBuzz.net

Today only I came across this website. It has already impressed me a lot. The website design is very good. It provides the blogger a chance to redefine the blog for $200.

3. http://www.quicksprout.com/the-advanced-guide-to-seo

This site discusses the advanced SEO techniques in very detail. The content can be downloaded as PDF also for offfline reading.

How I got fully activated Google Adsense account in less than three days

I just wanted to share my experience of getting Google Adsense approval in less than three days. I applied for Adsense on Nov 4, 2014 morning and I got the fully activated on Nov 6, 2014 evening.The main factor in getting adsense approval is having a top level domain (e.g. www.yourdomain.com) and applying with email address that comes along with the domain you purchased (e.g. yourname@yourdomain.com).

For example, I purchased http://www.ramblogger.asia in BigRock.in. You can buy .Com domain for INR 99 as a new customer. I will prefer .Com domain as users can easily type the site name in the browser and press ALT + ENTER to go to your site which we cannot do with other domains.

If you are a new BigRock.in customer, goto Google.co.in. just type "99 domain bigrock com". You will see the BigRock.in ad before Google Search results. Just click the ad. Search for the domain name and select it as you wish. First they will show INR 639 in cart. Do not worry. Just go ahead and sign up. It will automatically change the price from 639 to 99 once signed up. If you want privacy in who.is lookup, go ahead and choose that in cart. Otherwise just remove that from cart if you do not mind other people knowing your ownership over the site you are going to choose.

Once the payment is successful, you will become the owner of the domain. Now you need to add the content to your site. To do this, goto blogger.com and create your blog in the format blogname.blogspot.com. Now post the content as you wish in the blog just created. Make sure you have atleast 30 posts to get the approval from Google Adsense.

Now, you need to add custom domain www.yourdomain.com to your blog blogname.blogspot.com. For example I added custom domain randomblogger.asia to my blog address randomblogging2014.blogspot.com. For that visit the link http://bigrock.com/blog/domains-2/how-to-use-your-domain-with-blogger on how to add your custom domain.

Once the custom domain is added, create email address by logging into your BigRock.in account by using which you are going to apply adsense. Using this email id create a Google account so that you sign up adsense.

Visit Google.com/Adsense and sign up for it using your newly created google account using your domain specific email address. In sign up process use the newly created domain that is pointing to your blog in blogger.com

Wait for six hours at max and login to the adsense site to check the status. If you are able to login and see the red color banner saying your site is in review, then you are all set to get a adsense account. Just place ad code in the blog and wait for two days to get a fully activated adsense account.

You can place the ad code by creating a widget in layout of your blog. In widget choose HTML/Javascript code and place the ad code and save.
